SMT GmbH was founded in 2003, is headquartered in Siegerland in the western area of Nordrhein-Westfallen, specialized for the development, manufacturing and distribution of innovative new materials, main products are: microporous resin for Moulding, nano coating material based on the TiO2 and SiO2.

As a future-oriented company, we put our focus on research and development for the continuous improvement of the product quality, as well as the development of innovative new products. We offer customized solutions with best service to our partners and customers.

OUR COMPETENCE

SMT GmbH uses leading know-how of chemical nanotechnology for the development of nano products with 10-year experience in the development of new material. Our activity is mainly in two business areas:

>> SURFACE TECHNOLOGY:

On the basis of new research results in the field of the nano-technology in the last years we develop and manufacture innovative surface protection systems on the basis of SiO2 and TiO2 with nanoscale functional layers. The material is suitable for the surface coating of various industrial products, to improve the surface properties and product quality: for example, dirt repellent, UV stable, abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, antibacterial and antimicrobial, etc. the coating leads to reduce of the surface energy, awards the surface water repellent property (Lotus effect), "Easy-to-Clean"

>> MICRO-POROUS RESIN:

Micro-porous Resin is a high performance material for manufacture of plastic moulds, which is specifically formulated for the high pressure casting technology and produced by controlled polymerization,the properties are optimized by the use of modern technology and analysis methods for the different applications. The material has optimal porosity and pore size distribution, suitable for the manufacture of plastic moulds for various high pressure processes in the ceramics industry.
